Joshua’s Story

Our little boy was in the unit after being born 5 weeks early, please find attached some photos and his journey.

Joshua was born on the 12th February 2014 at 3:02am by emergency c section weighing 7lb 3oz,  he was born 5weeks early which was a total shock for us, when Joshua was born he sounded like a little sheep bleating he was was taken off to the unit shortly after he was born as he needed help with his breathing.

Joshua was put on to Cpap which was very upsetting, sadly Joshua got worse with both his lungs collapsing, our world collapsed seeing our little man in life support literally fighting for life.

Joshua is a fighter made of tough stuff and he fought his way back self extubating him self after on 48hrs.

The unit staff are amazing there 24hrs to support the families as well as give 100% care to each baby on the unit, the life of a prem baby is 5 steps forward 10 steps back but no matter what our boy was going through they were there our angels.
