Jacob’s Story

Being a new, young mother is scary in itself, but being a new, young mother to a baby you’ve had to have nearly 3 months early is an entirely different sort of scary, it’s petrifying. Not knowing whether they are going to ok is nothing a parent wants to have to think about.
I struggled mentally with coming to terms with the fact I had a sick baby and that there was going to be a long road ahead of us, but nothing would have got me through them dark days without the support from the staff in the NNU here, they are not only amazing nurses, but they are a friend when you need them.
Without all of the staff here and the amazing equipment that they have to help our little miracles, my beautiful baby boy may not be here today & there are not enough words that I can express to thank them enough.
It really is true in saying that “until you have a preemie baby, you will never truly understand the great distance between one pane of glass”.
The NNU staff will always be a part of our family and they will always be special to us. Thank you all, sincerely.
